01 / MEASURE

How much space?

Area input method
Subtract a pool or other area

Placement is unknown. Check that the exclusion lies inside your work area. Pool coping is separate from exposed edging.

Pavers & cutting allowance

Example: 1 sq ft per piece and 10% extra. Replace with your product’s coverage and layout allowance.

Base & bedding assumptions

Example depths only. Confirm the assembly for your soil, drainage, climate, loads and paver manufacturer.

Factor 1 adds no loose-volume adjustment. Ask your supplier for the appropriate factor; volume is not tonnage.

Joint sand & exposed edging

Use product coverage for your paver size, joint width and depth. There is no universal bag yield.

Enter only edges needing restraint. We never infer perimeter from area or automatically add pool edging.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

A useful estimate starts
with explicit assumptions.

01   Measure the surface

Multiply length by width in feet. Subtract non-paved areas, including a pool, to get net square feet. For irregular spaces, measure non-overlapping sections separately and enter their total as a known area.

02   Account for each layer

Paver coverage includes your cutting allowance. Base and bedding volumes use net area × depth in inches ÷ 324 to get cubic yards. Base loose volume uses your supplied factor. Sand bags are an alternative to buying bulk, not an additional material.

03   Round at purchase time

Divide required coverage by the product’s package coverage and round up once. Read product specifications for joint sand. Measure exposed edges yourself; area alone cannot tell you perimeter.
